LUDHIANA: Ten days after robbers killed a woman in Pandori village of Mullanpur, police on Tuesday claimed to have solved the case with the arrest of 5.
While Sukhmander Singh Goli of Pandori village deliberate the theft, his buddies Tarsem Lal, Baljit Singh, Rajvir Bunty and Sandeep Singh, all citizens of Moga, helped him execute it.
On the evening of July 7, the accused had murdered Sangeeta Devi, spouse of Sudhir Kumar, and injured her sweetheart's mother Ramkali and domestic lend a hand Vinod Kumar. Sudhir, a fish farm employee, used to be in Bihar on the day of the incident.
Ludhiana (rural) senior superintendent of police Varinder Singh Brar stated, “Sukhmander hatched the theft plan and guided his buddies to carry it out. He stayed away from the crime scene as he used to be from the similar village.”
Superintendent of police (investigation) Rupinder Bhardwaj stated, “During investigation, Ramkali and her son told that they suspected Sukhmander. When interrogated, Sukhmander spilled the beans and led us to his 4 aides, all of whom are elderly between 21 and 23. They were arrested from a sugar mill close to Nanaksar. The robbed articles, including gold, silver and two mobile handsets, but even so sharp-edged weapon used within the crime were recovered.”
Police stated Sukhmander knew that the family had stored money and jewellery at home. He did a recce earlier than wearing out the crime.
