3 terrorists killed in encounter in J&K's Kulgam district

SRINAGAR: Three terrorists behind the kidnapping and killing of a police constable had been on Sunday killed in an encounter with safety forces in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid stated.

Constable Saleem Shah was once abducted via militants from his place of dwelling in Mutalhama space of Kulgam in south Kashmir on Friday and his body, bearing serious torture marks, was once recovered the day prior to this.





"Three bodies of terrorists recovered with three weapons so far from encounter site," Vaid wrote on Twitter.







Earlier, the DGP stated the gang behind the kidnapping and killing of the constable had been trapped within the encounter at Khudwani in Kulgam district of south Kashmir.



"Terrorists group that tortured our colleague CT Mohd Saleem of Kulgam & killed him brutally are all trapped in an encounter with J&K Police/Army/CRPF in Khudwani Kulgam," he stated.


The encounter began this morning as safety forces launched a cordon and seek operation in Khudwani after receiving explicit intelligence enter in regards to the presence of militants within the space.


The seek operation turned into a gun fight because the terrorists fired upon the quest celebration of the forces who retaliated and within the resulting gun fight, three militants had been killed.


While the identification and team affiliation of the slain terrorist was once yet to be ascertained, the police had the day prior to this stated the militants behind the kidnapping and killing of the constable belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen outfit.
