Aircraft develops snag while landing, all safe

CHENNAI: An plane, which arrived right here on Saturday morning from Mumbai, evolved a snag sooner than touchdown, and its pilot sought the airport to be on 'local standby.'

The flight carrying 111 passengers evolved a snag whilst touchdown and sought the airport right here to be on 'local standby', an airport authentic advised PTI.


Local standby refers to sounding an alert to the hearth and rescue services and products, if any untoward incidents increase upon the coming of the plane.


"We got a request from the pilot asking us to be on local standby as the flight was approaching the airport. We alerted the (fire and rescue) services to be ready. Soon after it landed, the passengers alighted and the plane was towed away to a bay," he said.


Later, the snag was rectified and the plane resumed its adventure to Delhi, he said.


However, the airways' officers weren't available for a comment.
