CHENNAI: Tamil Nadu chief minister Edappadi Okay Palaniswami on Tuesday introduced that CCTV cameras shall be installed in 502 government ladies’ hostels around the state to put stringent security mechanism in position.
Making a suo motu announcement within the meeting, Palaniswami mentioned it would get advantages 31,940 scholars studying in schools and faculties. “All four facets of each and every hostel shall be covered at Rs 1 lakh,” the executive minister mentioned.
At least 1,265 out of one,343 hostels are run from government buildings. The chief minister mentioned it used to be dropped at the notice of the federal government that 595 buildings required upkeep and upkeep. Rs five crore could be for them this 12 months.
Palaniswami introduced upgradation of ten government Kallar schools in Madurai, Theni and Dindigul districts at a value of Rs three.8 crore.
