JAIPUR: The Rajasthan high courtroom has ordered the police to get rid of the “abhorrent follow” of mentioning the caste of a person in arrest memos and bail programs.
The courtroom seen that identifying an individual by way of caste is neither allowed by way of CrPC, nor provided by way of any legislation below the aegis of the Constitution. The bench of Justice S P Sharma gave the course whilst listening to a felony miscellaneous petition searching for correction within the caste of an accused below the Excise Act. The accused had been granted bail however the (bail) bond may just not be completed as his caste mentioned in it was once not matching with information.
