TRICHY: Former director of the Indian Institute of Science G Padmanabhan has been appointed because the chancellor of the Central University of Tamil Nadu (CUTN), Tiruvarur.
Padmanabhan is replacing V Krishnamurthy.
A native of Thanjavur, Padmanabhan is an eminent Indian biochemist and biotechnologist. “His appointment will be offering further impetus to the thriving research activity in the college,” said vice-chancellor of CUTN A P Dash.
In his message, Padmanabhan mentioned that even though the college could be very younger, it's growing speedy. “I'm happy to note that the college has scholars from all over the place India,” he said.
