KOLKATA: The West Bengal government will take "exemplary" motion against someone discovered to be enthusiastic about irregularities in admission to under-graduate courses, higher training minister Partha Chatterjee mentioned on Saturday.
Chatterjee mentioned that the training department would call college principals to a meeting next week to talk about a number of problems, together with admission-related issues.
Asked about media studies regarding some leaders of the ruling Trinamool Congress' pupil wing being allegedly enthusiastic about malpractices in college admission, he mentioned, "If such an allegation against any leader is found to be true, exemplary action will be taken against that person."
The minister additionally asked students and guardians to directly lodge a grievance with the police, in the event that they have been approached by means of someone offering assist within the admission process in change for cash.
"File a complaint with the police, we will initiate action. Also send copies of the complaint to the Chief Minister's Office (CMO)," he added.
