NEW DELHI: The National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) has issued a notice to Delhi police commissioner over suicide of a woman within the Tilak Nagar police station in Delhi on Sunday.
The commission has noticed that the incident raises severe issue of violation of human rights of the lady and signifies against gross negligence of the police personnel. It seems that the lady used to be pleading for help, but the matter used to be no longer correctly handled by way of them, stated NHRC in a statement.
NHRC has asked Delhi police chief to put up the detailed document, together with the inquest and post-mortem examination document in addition to the cause of death. The commission has also asked why there were no girls police personnel to be had at the police station.
