CHANDIGARH: Upset over the lengthen and non-payment of allowances to Justice Iqbal Singh, who had served as commissioner, gurdwara elections, Haryana, the Punjab and Haryana high court has directed the Haryana govt to unlock the amount within 3 weeks. The HC has also warned the state that during case the charge isn't made within the given time, the secretary of the dep. concerned shall stay provide ahead of the HC on July 27.
“In our opinion, prima facie, it does not behove of the government to treat a retired pass judgement on of the high court in this method. It used to be the government which selected to appoint him as commissioner for containing loose and fair elections. Hence, we name upon the state of Haryana to record a sworn statement within 3 weeks as to the duration within which all bills will likely be made to the petitioner,” noticed a department bench comprising Justices A B Chaudhari and Kuldip Singh.
The bench additional held, “In case, the affidavit isn't filed, the secretary concerned of the dep. will stay provide ahead of this court on July 27.”
