MUMBAI: Heavy rains lashed many parts of Mumbai and adjoining areas of Thane and Navi Mumbai on Saturday morning.
Areas in Mumbai suburbs like Malad, Borivali, Powai, Bhandup and parts of Thane and Kalyan witnessed a heavy downpour.
A forecast about intermittent showers with heavy rains for places within the island city and suburbs for the next 24 hours has been issued by way of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
IMD Santa Cruz observatory and Colaba observatory recorded rains within the ultimate 24 hours as 6.three mm and five.2 mm respectively.
Meanwhile, Central Railway trains have been running 10 mins past due because of heavy rains between Kalyan-Karjat and Kalyan-Kasara direction.
Due to heavy and steady rains, waterlogging has been reported between Vithalwadi and Kalyan (close to stage crossing gate).
Due to waterlogging, educate products and services had been stopped between Badlapur and Kalyan Railway Station as a precautionary measure.
