Hyderabad: 5 arrested in realtor's murder case

HYDERABAD: Five of eight offenders have been arrested through Rachakonda police for stabbing a realtor to dying on June 3. The deceased, Syed Aqeel's body was once discovered on the outskirts of Kothagudem village with a couple of stab wounds.

The accused, Mohd Yaseen Khan (27) and Mohd Sohail Ali (22), both citizens of Shalibanda, were arrested on Tuesday. While, the accused, Mohd Abdul Zubair (27), from Dabeerpura, Mohd Younus (24) from Malakpet and Amran Naseer (24), from Dabeerpura were arrested on June 11.

However, the main accused, Khaja Bilal Ahmed (41), a resident of Charminar and two other friends, Maqdoom and Tariq are still absconding.


According to police, Khaja evolved a grudge against Aqeel when he were given married to Khaja's spouse after their divorce. He provoked the accused, Zubair, as Aqeel previous had a dispute with him.


Khaja at the side of seven other friends hatched a plan to kill the him.


Aqeel, who had a legal file, was once in debts and went into hiding at his grandfather's area in Suryapet, to avoid money lenders. On June 3, the accused individuals abducted Aqeel at Suryapet and took him to an isolated space near Swathi Engineering College in Majeedpur village and stabbed the him with knives.


Police have seized four knives, four pairs of clothes of the accused individuals with blood stains and a motorcycle from their ownership.
