Infosys Foundation set to build, maintain Metro station for 30 years

BENGALURU: The Infosys Foundation headed via Sudha Murty will assemble the Metro station at Konappana Agrahara near Electronics City at a price of Rs 200 crore.

A memorandum of figuring out (MoU) used to be signed between Murty and Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) managing director Ajay Seth in the presence of chief minister HD Kumaraswamy and deputy chief minister G Parameshwara on Thursday.

The basis will assemble the station and maintain it for 30 years. The station to come back up on 2 lakh sqft land can be completed via 2021 and 3,000 sqft of house can be reserved for the root to habits art and other exhibitions. The station will also be named after the root.


“I’m happy that Infosys Foundation is partnering in expansion of the Metro rail community in Bengaluru,” mentioned Murty after signing the MoU. She mentioned the root’s contribution to the Metro project is not a charity but accountability towards her motherland. “Metro rail has been taking part in a big position in reducing site visitors congestion in the city,” she mentioned.


The CM lauded the root for becoming a member of fingers with the federal government. “The basis’s decision to maintain the station for 30 years presentations Sudha’s love for her motherland... The executive will make highest use of their contribution,” he added.


Parameswhara suggested other company properties to donate 2% of their profit for city’s infrastructure. He mentioned 5 lakh people are travelling in Metro every day and the number will go up to 30 lakh as soon as the ongoing paintings on Phase 2 is done.
