LUDHIANA: In the firing incident of Haibowal area during which Manpreet Singh,a grocery store proprietor used to be shot at through bike borne two assailants, the police have arrested victim’s sister, her paramour and their accomplices on Saturday. The police have additionally recovered the bike and licensee guns used within the crime that have been borrowed through accused from their buddies.
According to police the assault used to be planned through the sister together with her paramour. The duo wanted to get married on the other hand Manpreet used to be causing obstacle in their plan. Therefore the duo planned his homicide.
The accused are- victim's sister Anny preet Kaur, her paramour Satnam Singh Baba of Gurdaspur, the motorcycle rider Jasveer Singh of Amritsar, Bike proprietor Jashanjot Singh of Gurdaspur and licensee weapon holder Sukhdev Singh of Amritsar. Except for Jashanjot Singh, other accused have been arrested through police.
On July 10 around 9pm Manpreet closed the shop and used to be about to sit in his automobile when two masked assailants attacked him on Chuhurpur road of Haibowal area and escaped form spot, Upon hearing the gunshot the commuters knowledgeable the police and later rushed the injured to sanatorium. Bullets hit Manpreet on his face and abdomen on the other hand he survived.
The police have recovered two bullet shells of .32 bore form the spot.
The Commissioner of Police, Sukhchain Singh Gill said, "Manpreet’s father Nrang Singh is the main caretaker (Sevadar) at Dera Hariya waleya in Hoshiarpur moreover the accused assailant, captured in CCTV, was a Nihang therefore initially we were suspecting it a similar case of target killing."
The police controlled to trace the motorcycle used in crime thru its registration number and reached to the accused Satnam who used to be nabbed through Ludhiana police in Phagwara on Friday night time.
The Commissioner of Police said, "Satnam started working for Nrang Singh as driver eight months ago. He used to stay with Nrang Singh in Hoshiarpur and would often visit their residence in Ludhiana. Nrang's daughter Anny preet developed illicit relation with Satnam in January this year. Anny Preet got a separate SIM to talk to Satnam."
"Anny preet is widow and Satnam has already filed divorce case in court. The duo wanted to marry however they were sure that Manpreet would not accept this relation. Further Nrang Singh had lot of property and Anny preet thought that after Manpreet's death she would get entire property. With these motives the duo hatched conspiracy to kill Manpreet" he added.
Satnam borrowed .32 bore licensee weapon from his buddy Sukhdev Singh, motorcycle from some other buddy Jashanot Singh. His some other buddy Jasveer Singh agreed to lend a hand him and that day he used to be riding the motorcycle.
