BENGALURU: A central authority faculty in a faraway village in Mysuru district in Karnataka has been painted to look like a prepare to check migration of its scholars to personal faculties.
The faculty is positioned in Nanjangud taluk.
"Government faculties are shutting down nowadays because children are going to personal faculties. The same was once taking place with our faculty too.
This made us think why no longer we paint the college to make it look otherwise," Block Education Officer of the college M Narayana instructed PTI.
The faculty, which has classes from one to seven, had 50 scholars while a couple of others were reportedly ready within the wings to sign up for some private faculties.
The training department stumbled upon this concept when it confronted the challenge of imaginable faculty dropouts and parents admitting children to personal faculties, faculty authorities said.
The officer said the four-five teachers within the faculty made up our minds to paint the college wall to resemble a prepare.
"After the painting, not only did children give up their plans to go to private schools but some others came back from nearby private schools," the officer said.
Earlier, there have been 50 scholars but these days their number has greater to 55, he added.
Villagers too contributed their mite by way of laying the basis for a faculty compound wall.
Basava Naik, the college headmaster, said, "One of our teachers got a message in regards to the school-train someplace in Rajasthan, which brought on him to plan a equivalent factor right here.
We are glad that youngsters are appearing interest in our faculty."
