GUWAHATI: The NSCN(IM) on Sunday stated the Centre has known that integration of the entire contiguous Naga inhabited areas in the northeastern states as the reliable proper of the Naga folks and that it will be pursued with earnest.
The outfit stated that the ongoing Naga peace talks with the Centre will likely be a futile workout with out the combination of contiguous Naga-inhabited areas in the northeastern states as an answer.
In a observation, the NSCN (IM) stated, “In recognition of the Nagas’ history and scenario as unique via the government of India, the ancient Framework Agreement of the 3rd August, 2015 was signed between the GoI (Centre) and the NSCN. Both the parties agreed and known that integration of the entire contiguous Naga areas is the reliable proper of the Naga folks and it's mutually agreed that it will be pursued through earnest political democratic procedure.”
The peace talks have cleared the interlocutor’s stage and have reached the conclusive degree on the government stage now. The peace deal is now expecting the political resolution.
The NSCN (IM) observation comes days after Nagaland leader minister Neiphiu Rio stated that he "has always been championing the issue of integration of Naga-inhabited contiguous areas, but it is possible only when parties from other states agree."
NSCN (IM) has been challenging integration of Naga –inhabited areas of Nagaland’s 3 neighbours, Assam, Manipur and Arunachal Pradesh.
