NEW DELHI: Captain (retd) Salam Singh Rathore, sentenced to seven years' rigorous imprisonment in an offshoot of the 2006 Navy War Room leak case, on Wednesday approached the Delhi High Court difficult his conviction.

The CBI, in its separate rate sheet filed within the case, had alleged that it had seized 17 authentic paperwork in terms of various issues from Rathore's possession. Nine of these paperwork were secret, 4 limited and one confidential, it had alleged.
Rathore's counsel had earlier told the trial court that he has rendered 28 years of unblemished provider in defence.
He had submitted that Rathore had participated in anti-smuggling activities right through his posting, for which he was once preferred via the Indian Navy and the central govt.
The 2006 Navy War Room leak case concerned leakage of over 7,000 pages of delicate defence information from the Naval War Room and the Air Headquarters, having a direct relating national security.
The accused, who are facing trial in the principle case for the offence of legal conspiracy beneath the IPC and beneath the Official Secrets Act, are former naval Lieutenant Kulbhushan Parashar, former Commander Vijender Rana, sacked naval Commander V Ok Jha, former IAF Wing Commander Sambha Jee L Surve and Delhi-based businessman and hands dealer Abhishek Verma. All the accused are out on bail.
Prime accused Ravi Shankaran remains to be absconding and has been declared a proclaimed wrongdoer via the court.
