CHELMSFORD: India coach Ravi Shastri on Wednesday asserted that the present staff does no longer consider in complaining and won't make tricky prerequisites an excuse for its performances in what is expected to be a gruelling five-Test sequence towards England.

There had been reports that Indian staff control isn't happy with pitch and outfield at the Essex county flooring, the venue in their simplest warm-up sport that used to be curtailed to a few days owing to warmth wave in England.
But Shastri in his inimitable taste said his staff does not make excuses.
"My philosophy is very simple - (in) your country, I don't ask questions. (In) my country, you don't ask. I said (to groundsmen) leave it, and don't take anything off," Shastri said all over a media conference.
"One thing, on this trip, you will never see this Indian team giving an excuse as regarding conditions or the pitch. Our challenge is to beat them. We take pride in performing wherever we go and we want to be the best travelling side in the world. The last person to complain will be this Indian team (sic), so I want to clarify this very clearly," Shastri reiterated what has been a standard solution from the time he took over as head coach.
He further dispelled any doubts about court cases regarding the pitch or the outfield, which could be very rugged and bears simplest patches of grass.
"There was good grass on that (pitch). The groundsmen asked if we wanted the grass to be taken off. I said 'absolutely not'. (It is) your prerogative. You give (the wicket), we play, so when you come to my country you can never ask (about pitches)."
He said that searing warmth used to be a factor so far as 'cricketing causes' are involved, and the staff wanted higher preparation ahead of the first Test starting in Birmingham on August 1.
"The sport used to be lowered from 4 days to a few as a result of the logistics and the weather prevailing. We had a chance to apply three days in Birmingham, which is the Test fit venue.
"If we had played 4 days right here we'd have misplaced that in the future there as a result of shuttle. As easy as that since the prerogative whether to play a two-day, three-day or four-day sport lies entirely with the travelling staff," Shastri explained.
Shastri said the decision to shorten the sport used to be made all over apply on Tuesday.
"It used to be determined the day prior to this (all over apply). We had a chat (with Essex government) and after they explained how that they had offered tickets and the entirety. We had been somewhat satisfied to play even a two-day sport and use that one further day for apply right here. But they said tickets and all that, so we said k, 'we will be able to play a three-day sport'."
The elementary thought used to be to have a consultation at the Edgbaston on Sunday.
"And shuttle on Saturday, so that you can apply on Sunday. The reason is to get to the Test fit venue as it should not have served any goal with an additional day right here. An further day there will give us extra familiarity with the venue and the prerequisites where you might be enjoying the first Test," he signed off.
