BENGALURU: Police are yet to learn how a newborn woman, who was stolen from Sri Narasimha Raja District Hospital, Kolar, within the early hours of July 11, was discovered deserted 80km away in KHB Surya Nagar, off Hosur Road, on the outskirts of Bengaluru, the same day.
Police sources said the child was stolen from the sanatorium round three.10am and was discovered deserted in the course of an empty website online at KHB Surya Nagar round 8pm. Narayanaswamy, a resident of Vammasandra village in Mulabagal, Kolar, had filed a grievance about his newborn daughter going missing from the sanatorium.
A neighborhood, Srinivasa Reddy, who heard the child’s cries, rescued the kid and brought her to the jurisdictional Attibele police station round 11pm.
“We have registered a case in regards to the incident and shifted the child to executive run Bala Mandira close to Nimhans Hospital,” police said. Attibele police, who learnt that a newborn woman was stolen from the Kolar sanatorium, shared the main points on Friday, following which Kolar police rushed to Bengaluru with parents of the child.
“The parents known the child as theirs. Blood samples of the mother and the kid revealed that each have O+ crew. But there are other procedures to be completed before dealing with over the child to the parents. It may take 3 more days,” said a Kolar Rural police officer.
Rohini Katoch-Sepat, Kolar superintendent of police, said the child will stays at the Bala Mandir till they complete the entire procedures. “We are focusing on discovering the culprits who stole the child,” she said.
According to Kolar police, Narayanaswamy’s spouse Venu Kumari was admitted to sanatorium for delivery on July nine. She gave beginning to a toddler woman round eight.30am on July 10 and doctors advised her to stick for an afternoon at the sanatorium.
