CHENNAI: AMMK deputy basic secretary T T V Dhinakaran has known as upon his birthday party cadres to defeat the sport plan of political adversaries and overcome administrative hurdles to attend the birthday party's Coimbatore meeting on July eight in large numbers and make it a big success. Use public transport to reach the venue to show the world that the true cadres of the party are with us," TTV said.
The Kongu area (Western Tamil Nadu), he said, has at all times sponsored the AIADMK or even during 1989, when the birthday party contested the elections as J - Ja (Jayalalithaa - Janaki MGR) factions. "Of the 27 seats that was won by the Cock symbol from across the state, 17 came from Kongu region, underlining the fact that the region backed Puratchi Thalaivi, who went on to record a big win from Kangeyam in the 1991 elections. In the run up to 2011 assembly polls too, a large public meeting addressed by Amma in Coimbatore proved to be the turning point for the party coming back to power. Amma too offered several prominent cabinet berths to party members from this region," TTV said.
Understanding the importance of this area, AMMK basic secretary V Ok Sasikala too picked Edappadi Ok Palaniswami to turn out to be the manager minister, but he eventually became a turn coat, TTV said. Due to egocentric motives, his supporters are puncturing holes in this AIADMK stronghold, he added.
