MUMBAI: A 35-year-old lady heading to Tardeo police station on her scooter to report a grievance in opposition to her husband on Tuesday night, hit a pothole outdoor the police station, fell on the road and sustained multiple head injuries. She was now not wearing a helmet.
Even as the girl is convalescing in medical institution, the general public works division filled the pothole within 24 hours, said the Tardeo police.
The lady, a Tardeo resident and a mom of two, had a tiff together with her businessman husband and left house on her scooter to hotel a police grievance. “Around 11.45pm, when she approached the police station road, she hit a pothole and misplaced keep watch over of her scooter. She fell on her head,” said a police officer. A passerby informed the police about the accident outdoor their premises. “By then her husband too reached the police station. He accompanied us as we took her to Nair Hospital,” said senior inspector Sanjay Surve. She was shifted to the ICU at Bhatia medical institution at 7.30am on Wednesday.
“We don’t know what she wanted to whinge about as we have now not spoken to her but,” added Surve. “The medical doctors have informed us that she is not in a situation to offer a remark.”
Medical superintendent Dr Sachin Gadkari said her situation was strong, however she might be saved under statement within the ICU. “She has a haematoma (swelling within the brain), contusion and a small fracture within the skull. She is clinically strong, mindful and responding to instructions,” he said. She is not going to want any surgical intervention. “The neurosurgeon will take a decision on whether to transport her out of the ICU,” Dr Gadkari said.
The police have now not registered any case but. “We will first communicate to her and identify what precisely happened after which make a decision the process prison motion and in opposition to whom should we check in a case,” said the officer.
