ALLAHABAD: A lady and her two minor sons were allegedly burnt to demise via her husband and in-laws in Koilati, Bhanjanpur village in Manda police house on early Friday morning. The police have detained three individuals, together with her mother in-law, in regards to the incident.
The deceased were recognized as Geeta Devi, 28, Kanha, 3, and a two-month infant, all citizens of Bhanjanpur.
The deceased were tied with a cot earlier than being set ablaze, police stated.

The IG informed TOI that a case underneath segment 498A, 304 B, 302 of IPC and 3/4 of Dowry Act has been lodged against Shiv Bahadur (husband), Raj Kumar (father in law), Ramrati (mother in-law), Ram Bahadur (brother in-law) and Meena (sister in law) with Manda police station on this connection.
While Ramrati, Ram Bahadur and Meena were detained, Raj Kumar and Shiv Bahadur controlled to escape.
Sharma added that the mummy of the deceased, Lalti Devi, a resident of Mirzapur, informed police she was once informed via the villagers that burnt our bodies of all of the three were lying on a cot and ground.
Police stated that the incident happened round 3 am and locals spotted the our bodies at round 6 am and informed the police.
Police stated Geeta Devi was once married to Shiv Bahadur about 5 years in the past and had two children. Geeta’s mother accused her daughter’s husband and inlaws of harassing her daughter for dowry as they had been repeatedly tough a motorbike, gold chain and ring.
“Being a widow, I was no longer in a position to fulfill the calls for of Geeta’s husband and inlaws. They were repeatedly harassing her after marriage and likewise threatened her of dire penalties if we failed to satisfy the demand,” Lalti informed police.
