MUMBAI: State-run Bharat Petroleum Corp Ltd (BPCL) close a hydrocracker unit at its Mumbai refinery on Wednesday night following a fireplace that left more than 40 folks injured, mentioned a best company legitimate.
"We have shut the hydrocracker and assessment will be done on Thursday to know how long we need to keep it shut," R Ramachandran, head of refineries, advised information agency Reuters.
The final devices at the 120,000-barrel-per-day refinery within the western Indian state of Maharashtra are running most often, he added.
The fireplace started within the compressor shed of the hydrocracker plant around 2:45 pm.
43 workers had been injured within the incident, mentioned Shahaji Umap, deputy commissioner of police (Zone-VI).
After preliminary treatment at BPCL's first assist centre, 22 of them had been allowed to head home, while 21 had been shifted to close by health center in Chembur, he mentioned. One of them was within the extensive care unit, he added.
