Lalu Prasad Yadav discharged from Mumbai hospital

MUMBAI: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) chief Lalu Prasad has been discharged from sanatorium in Mumbai, after receiving treatment for chest ache and occasional haemoglobin rely.

The 70-year-old chief used to be admitted to Asian Heart Institute after being identified with the illness on Monday. He is likely to fly to Patna later within the day.


The former Bihar chief minister used to be hospitalised for the second time in a span of 3 months. On June 19, he used to be rushed to the sanatorium following the similar well being dysfunction and used to be admitted for a number of days.


Prior to this, Lalu Prasad used to be also present process treatment at Ranchi's Rajendra Institute Medical Sciences (RIMS), where he used to be hospitalised on March 16 after he complained of discomfort at Birsa Munda Jail. He used to be later shifted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) situated within the national capital.


Lalu, who has been convicted in four cases in connection with the multi-crore-rupee fodder rip-off, is out on bail from the previous couple of weeks. The Ranchi High Court had granted him bail in June on scientific grounds till August 17.
