CHANDIGARH: Punjab cupboard minister Navjot Singh Sidhu stated on Wednesday that he has accepted the invitation extended via Imran Khan for attending his swearing-in ceremony as the high minister of Pakistan.
"It is (a) great honour, I accept the invitation. Men of genius are admired, men of power are feared, but men of character are trusted. Khan Sahab is a man of character. He can be trusted. Sportsmen build bridges, break barriers, unite people," Sidhu stated in a commentary issued here.
Sidhu was amongst other personalities who had reportedly been invited via Khan to attend his oath-taking ceremony. Khan's birthday celebration, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has emerged as the single-largest birthday celebration in the National Assembly after ultimate week's normal election in the neighbouring country.
Khan had stated he would take oath as Pakistan's high minister on August 11.
