NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday reviewed the growth of preparations for the launch of the health assurance programme under Ayushman Bharat.
The scheme will provide health assurance duvet of as much as Rs five lakh according to circle of relatives. It will duvet over 10 crore poor and inclined families within the nation.
Top officers of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, NITI Aayog and the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) briefed the Prime Minister on various sides, including the preparations in states and development of the technological infrastructure related to the scheme, a PMO release mentioned.
In April, on the instance of Ambedkar Jayanti, the Prime Minister had inaugurated the primary 'health and wellness centre' under Ayushman Bharat in Bijapur district in Chhattisgarh.
