SpiceJet begins streaming free in-flight entertainment for flyers

NEW DELHI: Now you'll be able to watch in-flight leisure (IFE) content to your private electronic devices (PED) on SpiceJet flights with the low value service (LCC) streaming the content totally free on its airplane. The airline says content for the IFE “SpicEngage” is aimed at an audience throughout every age.


SpiceJet CMD Ajay Singh mentioned: “I am excited to announce the release of our new in-flight leisure machine, SpicEngage, which will hugely support the onboard experience of our flyers. Passengers can now use their very own phones and drugs onboard SpiceJet to look at their favorite shows, play video games, learn and do much more. SpicEngage, much like SpiceMax, is a unique offering from SpiceJet that may make air journey spicier.”


SpiceJet says it's the first and only Indian low value airline to release this free provider. “SpicEngage will host a plethora of content broadly categorised underneath 5 classes – Watch, Play, Explore, Read and Eat. In the ‘Watch’ segment, flyers will be able to watch cartoons, well-liked web series like 'Permanent Roommates' and 'What the Folks', stand-up comedy videos via well-liked artists but even so short movies,” the airline says.


“The ‘Explore’ segment throws open a platform for journey and lifestyle fans offering tips and steerage on model, excursions and beyond. ‘Read’ segment provides a number of content particularly for well-read travellers. The segment additionally provides ‘town guides’ that may come to hand for travel-hardened flyers all in favour of town excursions,” the airline provides.
