Crowd-sourced logo for Bapu’s 150th birth anniv unveiled

NEW DELHI: President Ram Nath Kovind unveiled the emblem and web portal for the commemoration of 150th start anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi at Rashtrapati Bhawan on Tuesday. Culture minister Mahesh Sharma said the emblem has been acquired thru crowd sourcing and can now be used to emblem trains, metro rail, Air India aircraft, state roadways buses, government internet sites, and all government advertisements and exposure material.


The President additionally launched a web portal dedicated to anniversary celebrations, and its key features include the ability to identify visitors from other geographies and serve them data on Gandhian literature, philosophy, audios, movies, and uncommon photos.


The government has planned two-year celebrations from October 2, 2018 to 2020.
