NEW DELHI: India does not discriminate in opposition to vacationers in line with their sexual orientation and everyone seems to be welcome to return to the country, tourism minister K J Alphons stated on Monday.
The minister used to be responding to a query about the executive's view on promoting LGBT tourism within the nation within the backdrop of the Supreme Court decriminalising homosexuality and Thailand promoting itself as a secure vacation spot for the group.
"Our tourism is for all. We do not discriminate against sexual preferences of anyone. Everybody is welcome here, absolutely everyone. We believe in tourism for all," Alphons instructed newspersons on the launch of the India Tourism Mart.
The minister, on the other hand, had initially refused to answer the query, terming it as "irrelevant". He addressed it later.
On September 6, the Supreme Court dominated that homosexual sex between consenting adults is not against the law announcing sexual orientation is herbal and folks have no keep watch over over it.
Thailand held the first actual LGBT+ Travel Symposium in June to advertise the country as a secure and inclusive vacation spot for same-sex couples.
