India's Keerthana Pandian wins IBSF world U-16 snooker title

MUMBAI: India's Keerthana Pandian has gained the girls' name in the IBSF World Under-16 Snooker Championships, her maiden global crown.
In the corresponding boys class, Ben Martens of Belgium clinched the name in St Petersburg, Russia, according to knowledge gained from the media cell of International Billiards & Snooker Federation (IBSF).


Keerthana gained the girls' name by outclassing Belarussian rival Albina Leschuk Three-1 in the ultimate.


After qualifying for knockout degree as seed 4, Keerthana knocked out her compatriot Manasvini Sekar and Russian woman Alina Khairulina in immediately frames Three-0 ahead of assembly the protecting champion and countrymate Anupama Ramachandran in the semis.


Keerthana had lost the first body, however after that she performed flawlessly to win next three frames and defeated Anupama Three-1.


Similarly, in the ultimate, Keerthana went down after winning the first body, however with ratings level at 1-1, she outfitted and performed with complete keep watch over to win next two frames and the championship.
