MANGALURU: The Mangaluru City police have seized six sand-laden vans in reference to the unlawful transportation of sand. The seized items are valued at Rs 1.25 crore.
According to police, acting on a tip-off, they performed an operation on Sunday and Monday under the Konaje and Ullal police station limits. A total six vans have been discovered to be wearing sand illegally throughout the operation.
Rama Rao, ACP (South), Konaje police inspector Ravi Naik, constable Ashok Kumar, and driver Jnyanaprakash participated within the operation.
