Mysuru: Charging the BJP-led central govt with destabilising and undermining the autonomy of establishments such as the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Central Bureau of Investigation, and Election Commission, convener of the Karnataka Dalit Sangarsha Samithi Mavalli Shankar stated, “The scenario within the country is dangerous.”
Alleging that makes an attempt have been being made to entrench Manuvaad in society, Shankar stated, “Dalits are growing afraid to call for their rights. The BJP and RSS are instigating the upper castes to oppose Reservation for Dalits, which can be guaranteed within the Constitution. The central govt has destabilised establishments such as RBI, CBI and the Election Commission.”
He stated that the samithi would apply the 63rd Ambedkar Mahaparinirvan Diwas (Death anniversary) and a two-day convention at Ambedkar Bhavan in Bengaluru Rural from December 8.
“We will lift a procession of Ambedkar’s statue on December 8, and on the 9th, author GK Govindharaju and Kannada Development Authority chairman SG Siddaramaiah will take part within the convention,” stated Shankar.
