KOLKATA: A Kolkata-based girl has approached the Calcutta top court docket in quest of the release of her female spouse allgedly illegaly detained by means of her family.
The division bench of the top court docket comprising justice Jaymalya Bagchi and justice Ravi Kishan Kapoor has requested the Director for Health and Education Department to submit a file on the matter within a week.

On November 14, a woman was once rescued by means of her folks from her lover's space. According to the woman's family, she was once sick at that time. The lady was once admitted to a Rehabilitation Centre in Santoshpur.
The lady's female lover approached the court docket claiming her lover's folks had detained her forcefully.
The court docket has additionally requested the director for Health-Education to form a committee of three psychologists to watch the petitioner and her lover. The comittee would submit its report back to the top court docket.
On September 6, a five-judge constitution bench of the Supreme Court had unanimously decriminalised homosexuality between consenting adults.
