DEHRADUN: The ruling BJP Thursday confirmed the elimination of Sanjay Kumar, who was embroiled in a sexual harassment controversy, from the put up of the state party basic secretary (organisation).
"Kumar had written to the party's central leadership, seeking to be removed from the post and his request has been accepted," pradesh BJP president Ajay Bhatt instructed reporters.
Last week, a BJP employee had accused Kumar of sexually harassing her, causing a lot embarrassment to the party.
A buzz concerning the senior chief's elimination from the put up have been doing the rounds since November three however party leaders had been tight-lipped about it.
