Surat: A 10-member parliamentary committee on empowerment of ladies visited in the town on Wednesday as a part of the study tour to understand the working condition ladies in textile, diamonds and cooperative societies.

The ladies parliamentarians below the chairmanship of Bijoya Chakravarty, the BJP MP from Guwahati, visited the built-in textile mill in Pandesara that employs just about 500 ladies employees.
