Two arms smugglers held, 15 pistols seized

JAIPUR: Busting a racket desirous about dealing of palms, the Amber police in the city on Thursday arrested two individuals for allegedly smuggling palms. Police have additionally seized 15 country-made pistols and 12 live cartridges from their ownership.

This is a large step forward for the police, slightly every week sooner than the state legislative assembly elections.

Addressing a press conference, Satendra Singh, speaking to the mediapersons, said, “We had been growing inputs on the activities of the palms smugglers for a long time and have activated our resources. It came to our wisdom that some folks have been visiting Jaipur to unload the country-made guns which were manufactured in an unlawful palms factory running at Laxmangarh space of Alwar.”


“A team was constituted that laid a trap and indulged into a fake coping with the palms peddlers. The team first nabbed Sher Singh Jaatav (22), a native of Laxmangarh space of Alwar and seized 8 country-made pistols and 8 live cartridges from his ownership. All the seized cartridges have been sized 8mm every,” Singh added.


Other arrested individual was recognized as Ashok Jaatav (22) from whom seven country-made pistols and 4 live cartridges have been seized.


Thus, police managed to grab 15 country-made pistols and 12 live cartridges from their ownership. “It was found that either one of them have been carriers and have been promised to get Rs 25,000 after they make a hit supply of the palms,” said the officer.
