KOLAR: A 20-year-old adolescence out on a joyride with his friends on Wednesday morning was once charred to death after his high-end motorcycle collided with a private bus off Kolar-Bangarpet Road.
When the motorcycle toppled and hit the bottom near Jain school at 7am, gasoline spilled on to the street. Soon, the automobile —a Yamaha R1 — caught fireplace and Neeraj from Bangarpet was once burnt to death at the spot.
Circle inspector Dinesh Patil said Neeraj, a BE scholar of Reva engineering college, and his friends started their adventure on three bikes from Bangarpet at 6.65am.
They had been heading towards Kolar and it was once reportedly a regimen joyride. While negotiating a curve, a bus came from the other way. While others moved forward, Neeraj’s motorcycle rammed the front a part of the bus. Due to the affect, the petrol tank of the motorcycle opened and the engine of the bus too developed a crack, resulting in leakage of petrol and oil. The motorcycle was once dragged for roughly 50 metres along the street and it caught fireplace in no time.
Vishnu, a newspaper agent, said he was once on his way to Bavarahalli when he saw the youths driving at high pace. “It was once moderately foggy within the morning and visibility was once poor. I heard a loud thud and saw the motorcycle and the rider in flames. None dared to move near the motorcycle, fearing the gasoline tank might burst.”
Neeraj is the second son of Kumaresh, an agricultural dealer from Vivekanandanagar. His s elder brother Deeraj had purchased the second-hand motorcycle for Rs 8 lakh, which originally value Rs 17 lakh.
