7 killed, 4 injured in accident near Ambala

AMBALA: Seven folks have been killed in a road twist of fate close to Patti Rangran village on Punjab and Haryana border in Ambala. Nearly 21 individuals, all citizens of Chandigarh including two drivers, have been on their approach to Vrindavan in two Chevrolet Tavera vehicles.

Accident took place when drivers of both the vehicles stopped their automobiles in heart of the road to test some malfunction in some of the vehicles. Both the vehicles have been hit by way of a heavy car from the rear facet.

The deceased were known as Manoj Kumar, driving force of CH04H5002, Suresh Kumar, the motive force of HR685015, Kavita (36), Ranjna Kapoor (18), Harshita Kapoor (nine), Asha Rani (49), and Piyush (five).

Renu, an injured, stated, "All of us were friends and had planned a tour to Vrindavan. The accident happened near Ambala."

Dr Sunny Bhatti from Civil Hospital stated, "The conditions of the injured persons are stable, two injured passengers have been referred to Chandigarh."


Ambala City Deputy Superintendent of Police, Ajit Kumar, stated, “Seven individuals have died including both the motive force and five different who have been touring within the two vehicles. There have been 11 individuals in a single automobile and 10 within the any other. The twist of fate took place because the vehicles have been parked on the freeway, and a few heavy car rammed from the rear facet.”


As in keeping with the primary information document (FIR), “One of the families is resident of house quantity 118-A, Sector 30B, Chandigarh they usually left for Vrindavan in two employed Tavera vehicles at around 11.30 pm on December 28. The twist of fate took place at around 1 am on December 29 close to village Patti Rangran in Ambala after passing Drive-In 22 on Chandigarh-Ambala road.”


Ambala Sadar in-charge Sub-inspector, Mehar Singh, stated, “All the 19 passengers have been women except the 2 drivers. As of now, seven folks have died; two are present process treatment at Ambala Cantonment Hospital, and four at GMCH, Sector 32, Chandigarh. The condition of 1 particular person at Chandigarh health center is said to be essential, whilst the entire others are secure with non-serious accidents. A case on the complaint of a survivor Palak, resident Sector 30B, Chandigarh has been registered against the unknown driving force of a few heavy car underneath section 279, 304-A, 336, 337 and 427 at Ambala Sadar police station and the investigation has been initiated. Superintendent of Police, Astha Modi, stated, "We are trying to get the details of the vehicle through CCTV cameras and the forensic expert teams have been rushed to the spot, we have recovered some damaged parts of the vehicle, hopefully, we will apprehend the vehicle and driver soon."
