NEW DELHI: The capital woke up to a bitterly bloodless Saturday morning with the mercury plummeting to two.6°C - the lowest temperature this season and also the lowest recorded in December since 2013. Five years ago, on December 30, the temperature had fallen to two°C.


The cold-wave condition is prone to proceed for at least two more days with the minimal predicted at 2°C on Sunday. Saturday's minimal of 2.6°C - the similar temperature was recorded on December 28, 2014 - was four notches below commonplace and the utmost, at 20°C, a point below commonplace.
