MUZAFFARPUR: The particular job power of Bihar police arrested infamous prison Govind Kumar from Patna airport on Tuesday.
Govind was some of the shooters who had allegedly killed former Muzaffarpur mayor Samir Kumar in his fatherland on September 23 ultimate 12 months.
STF sources stated Govind was nabbed when he reached the airport from Delhi round 4pm.
Samir and his driver Rohit Kumar have been gunned down through criminals close to the hearth station at Chandwara below the Town police station area in Muzaffarpur after they have been returning to their place of abode at Nand Vihar Colony below the Mithanpura police station area.
Senior superintendent of police (Muzaffarpur) Manoj Kumar stated Govind was being delivered to Muzaffarpur. “He was arrested at the basis of digital surveillance of his kinfolk’ cell phones.”
The SSP stated Govind have been evading arrest since his name figured within the Samir murder case following the arrest of property dealer Sushil Kumar Chhapadia in October. Chhapadia had instructed police that another accused within the case, SN Mishra, had hired two sharpshooters of infamous Shambhu Mantu gang to kill Samir following a dispute over a land deal, the SSP stated.
Manoj stated police would search Govind’s remand to unravel the former mayor’s murder case.
The investigating officer of the case, Dhiraj Kumar Singh, had already procured from the native court docket arrest warrants against Govind and his affiliate Sujit Kumar. Govind belongs to Silaut Gajpatti village below the Maniyari police station area while Sujit is from Mohanpur Tulsi village below the Sakra police station area in Muzaffarpur district.
The police have also moved packages for the attachment of property of both the shooters. Sujit remains to be absconding.
Parents of both Govind and Sujit have also eloped because the police pasted notices for his or her arrest on their rented and local apartments.
