SURAT: A 65-year-old lady was compelled to spend a cold winter night time in the cage meant for leopards which she had entered by means of mistake near her village in Tapi district on Wednesday. Kamli Khusal Chaudhary had long past to a dispensary for treatment of an ailment and when the doctor stated he would have to give an injection to her, she left for house in Bhanwadi village and by means of mistake entered and got trapped in the cage which was stored on solution to catch leopards.
Her son-in-law Devsang Chaudhary stated Kamli was having pain in her joints and so he had taken her to the dispensary on his motorbike on Wednesday. However, he had some work and so left early from there.

Meanwhile, a cage was positioned by means of forest division at Lotarva village from where a leopard was caught a few days in the past. Forest officers suspected there was another leopard in the area and wanted to trap it too. One has to cross via Lotarva village to go to Bhanwadi village.
Some villagers noticed her in the cage and got her released on Thursday morning.
Fearing that the doctor would give her an injection, Kamli left the dispensary with out telling someone. She started walking house but because of pain in joints, the tempo was tardy. It was darkish when she reached Lotarva village and mistakenly entered the cage pondering it to be some gate. The moment she entered it, the cage closed mechanically and she or he had no option but to spend the night time in it.
Some villagers noticed her in the cage and got her released on Thursday morning. She was suffering from fever and was admitted to a health facility.
Tapi district collector MK Damor stated, “We are conscious in regards to the incident. It passed off at round 11pm and subsequently no one spotted her. However, she survived the ordeal and is now ok.”
