Indira Gandhi National Open University starts new PG environmental course

NAGPUR: Indira Gandhi National Open University (Ignou) has began a new postgraduate diploma path in environmental and occupational well being for graduates with HSC in science.

The one-year programme offers a complete thought of surroundings regulations, occupational well being safety, agriculture, cattle pollution, business pollution, Ignou regional director P Sivaswaroop said.

He said the path can be to be had to scholars from January consultation. The director said admissions to different regular courses too will start from subsequent month. The last date for utility is January 15.

Sivaswaroop said all of the process can be online, proper from filling paperwork to paying the associated fee. For the benefit of scholars no longer getting access to internet, a memorandum of understanding has been signed with CSRC to assist such applicants. The fee for SC/ST applicants can be reimbursed for BPP, BA, BCom and BSc courses.


He said on December 27, the regional centre held its Gyan Ganga initiative at Korchi and Nandali villages in Gadchiroli.


Assistant coordinator Shyam Koreti exhorted native scholars of Vanashri Arts and Science College to hone new skills through Ignou courses.


Sivaswaroop said the far flung district scholars needn't worry about getting training as Gyan Ganga will deliver it at their doorstep.
