Ludhiana: 2 held for robbing Ola driver's cab

LUDHIANA: In not up to 36 hours after unidentified miscreants ran away with an Ola driving force's cab in South City space after injuring him, Ludhiana police arrested two accused on Friday morning. The accused were known as 22-year-old Sahil Bhardwaj of Puneet Nagar, Tibba Road and 23-year-old Shahrukh Saifi Saif of Gopal Nagar in the same space.


On Thursday, Sarabha Nagar police had registered a case towards unidentified accused when they had run away with the car of an Ola cab driving force, Jagdish Gupta of Haibowal in South City after threatening him with a knife.


Giving main points, deputy commissioner of police (DCP) - investigation, Gagan Ajit Singh stated that once operating away with the automobile on Wednesday at round 10.30pm, the accused went to Delhi the same night time to promote the car.


DCP further stated that the accused even used faux number plate on the automotive they they returned to the city on Friday morning when they did not promote the car. He added that they were maintaining a tab on the motion of the duo and arrested them from a check-post on Tibba street and recovered the automobile as well.
