BHIWANDI: A significant fire gutted around 18 godowns containing box-packing subject material on Friday night time at Bhiwandi in Thane district.
The fire team reached the spot and is suffering to control the blaze. The loss is estimated to be in crores. The fire happened at five.20pm on Friday at the godown positioned at Jairaj compound in Kalvar area in Bhiwandi.
Officials said as the hearth used to be primary, a number of fire tenders have been referred to as from Kalyan and Thane. The fire team said that first fire broke out in a single godown which later spread to different godowns. Around 50 group of workers running throughout the godowns controlled to flee. No one used to be injured within the incident. D N Salvi, leader fire officer of Bhiwandi fire brigade, said, “Around 18 godowns have caught fire and our team is attempting to control the placement."
