PATIALA: The police right here have booked an accused recognized as Tarsem Lal of Nabha beneath sections of the IPC on the complaint of his better half's father who alleged that Tarsem had set his space on fireplace on Friday night time.

The police added that the arguments happened between the accused and the complainant following which the accused set the home on fireplace.
The police claimed that Tarsem was once arrested and produced earlier than the native court docket which despatched him to 14-days judicial custody. The police mentioned that the accused used to work as a labourer however from the previous couple of weeks he was once unemployed as he was once not able to get a role. The police further mentioned there was once already a matrimonial dispute between the complainant's daughter and Tarsem following which the girl had returned to her father's space while the accused was once referred to as by means of the complainant to hold the talks.
"We have arrested the accused who managed to escape after committing the crime. The complainant and his neighbours tried to douse the fire but in the meanwhile, the complainant had already faced a loss of over Rs 70,000 as many of his belongings were destroyed in fire. The accused had set the house on fire by pouring the kerosene oil on the bed and the other wooden materials lying in the house. The accused is sent to judicial custody however further probe in the matter is on", mentioned the investigating officer (IO) in the case.
