No case of H5NI virus in hospitals

PATNA: No case of chook flu was reported from city hospitals on Friday. Hospital authorities, however, mentioned they had been neatly prepared to take on any such downside. The doctors had been placed on alert whilst the well being amenities marked isolation wards to one at a time keep and deal with patients showing any symptom of chook flu.

The state well being division issued advisory to all civil surgeons and medical faculty and hospitals across the state earlier this week to be prepared to take care of suspected instances of chook flu. PMCH medical superintendent Dr Rajiv Ranjan Prasad mentioned, “We have organized a five-bed isolation ward in our respiration division to regard patients showing flu-like symptoms.”


He mentioned after engaging in initial screening of suspected chook flu instances, we can send their samples to Rajendra Memorial Research Institute of Medical Science (RMRIMS) for laboratory exams. “We even have enough stock of Tamiflu medications that might be given free of cost to any patient affected with H5N1 virus,” he mentioned.


Dr Ok H Raghwendra, officiating medical superintendent and spokesperson at Indira Gandhi Institute of Medical Sciences (IGIMS), mentioned, “We have a 10-bed isolation ward and a medical in depth care unit (MICU) to take care of any chook flu case.”
