Only diploma holders allowed for jr engr posts

PATNA: The Patna prime court docket on Tuesday ruled that best three-year degree holders in electric engineering can be eligible for the junior engineer (JE) put up advertised by means of Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL).

While hearing a Letter Patents Appeal (LPA) filed by means of BSPHCL, the division bench of Chief Justice Amreshwar Pratap Sahi and Justice Anjana Mishra set aside the one bench order of Justice Shivaji Pandey on August five this year. The unmarried bench had allowed even level holders in electric engineering to apply for the JE put up in BSPHCL.

BSPHCL was once represented by means of status counsel Anand Kumar Ojha. BSPHCL in June had invited packages from best degree holders for the 400 posts of JE. But a point holders moved the prime court docket to change the eligibility criteria and make allowance them also to apply for the vacant JE posts.

Ojha mentioned BSPHCL had allowed level holders in 2013 and 2016 to apply for JE posts. “However, this year, we changed the rule and like previous, best three-year degree holders in electric engineering from a state or central govt known institute affiliated with AICTE have been made eligible for applying on-line,” Ojha mentioned.

He mentioned BSPHCL had extended the remaining date for submitting packages after the one bench order, but simultaneously challenged it before the division bench, which in any case set aside the one bench order in opposition to BSPHCL.
