COIMBATORE: Of its goal investments of Rs 3,000crore for the Global Investors Meet (GIM) 2019, the District Industries Centre (DIC) within the town has as on Saturday raised round Rs 2,822crore, stated officers. They stated they have been hopeful of accomplishing the objective inside January 23, the date of GIM 2019.
R Kannan, normal supervisor of DIC, Coimbatore, stated whilst they had mobilised investments to the tune of round Rs 2,540crore on Saturday they had mobilised investments to the tune of Rs 281crore from 54 events from Coimbatore District Small Industries Association (Codissia) at its annual normal assembly. “We nonetheless must mobilise Rs 178crore, which we're hopeful of mobilising sooner than the GIM. On Sunday, the DIC would hang a road show at the Codissia Trade Fair Complex to mobilise more investments from MSMEs from the districts, stated Kannan. At the road show, officers from the industry department and banks would explain MSMEs about assistance, subsidies and bank loans.
