Nagpur: Shivaji Jagtap, who used to be on deputation in the Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s transport division for the remaining three years, has been transferred to his parent corporate Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation.
On Tuesday night time, NMC administration won a letter from MSRTC managing director about Jagtap’s transfer from NMC to Yavatmal depot of MSRTC as divisional controller.
Sources raised eyebrows with Jagtap’s sudden transfer order two days forward of basic frame meeting on Dec 20 when a proposal on an inquiry document against him over purchase of digital ticketing device value Rs 1.67 crore is to be tabled.
NMC’s transport division had bought ETMs with out the nod of the transport committee and standing committee, the issue had rocked the general frame meeting. The ruling celebration leaders had accused Jagtap of shopping for ETMs ignoring NMC tips and bungling of lakhs of rupees in cash cards.
Mayor Nanda Jichkar had ordered an inquiry against Jagtap and directed the civic administration to take criminal motion against the latter if found to blame. The inquiry used to be carried out via further municipal commissioner. Sources said Jagtap approached the MSRTC headquarters in Mumbai for his transfer fearing motion.
