Surat police reorganize some police stations, zones and divisions

Surat: For the purpose of even distribution of labor, Surat police has reorganized some police stations, divisions and zones. A new eighth sub-division has been added and jurisdiction of three police stations has additionally been modified.
City police commissioner Satish Sharma mentioned, “Reorganization is completed to manage city better and to similarly distribute the paintings.”

Under the new arrangement, new sub-division H will have five police station spaces of Icchapore, Hajira, Dumas, Adajan and Marine below its preview. Whereas sub-division E will have Amroli, Jahangirpura and Rander below it . Previously, Amroli was once below sub-division D.

Similarly, sub-division A had four police stations of Varachha, Kapodara, Sarthana and Puna below it. However, within the new arrangement Puna will now be below sub-division C.

Jurisdiction of DKM chowki that fell in Salabatpura till now will probably be below Mahidharpura police station. Man Darwaja chowki that was once below Khatodara police station has been shifted below Salabatpura police station .

“We found that most crime instances in Salabatpura have been from Man Darwaja chowki house. So better to shift it below Salabatpura police station,” Sharma mentioned.
