Thieves steal cash, valuables worth Rs 3.5 lakh

PATNA: Unidentified thieves decamped with valuables value at least Rs3.5 lakh from the place of abode of one Sushil Kumar at Jaganpur under the Ram Krishna Nagar police station house in Patna on the intervening night of Friday and Saturday.

Kumar and his circle of relatives had long past to his parental place of abode at Masaurhi on Friday morning. Sushil works as a contractual worker for South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited.


He advised TOI over the phone that the thieves entered the house thru the primary gate and ransacked all the space searching for valuables.


Sushil mentioned gold and silver adorns value at least Rs3 lakh and Rs55,000 kept inside the house had been stolen. “We had shifted to the newly-built space handiest six months back,” he mentioned.


In different incidents, thieves also stole jewellery on a god’s idol and cash from the donation field after breaking the lock of a temple and also decamped with valuables from a shrine (mazaar) on Nawab Bahadur Road near Pashchim Darwaza under the Khajekala police station house in Patna City on Friday nighttime. Khajekala police station SHO Dinesh Chandra Srivastava mentioned no written grievance was lodged on this connection.
